Dahlia Pick and Arrange Workshop

Join Susie in her cutting garden, picking dahlias, focal fillers and other beautiful blooms which you'll then arrange.

With guidance from Susie you’ll select and pick dahlias, other florals, fillers and foliage from the cutting garden (with the focus on our much loved dahlias). You’ll then be shown various arrangement techniques, combining your dahlias and other botanicals to create a beautiful new arrangement. All materials will be supplied. Just come ready to pick, arrange and have fun.

What to expect:

We'll start with a very brief chat/welcome by Susie and then begin selecting and picking our blooms and fillers from the cutting garden. Susie will offer guidance on the types of florals and foliage that would best complement the dahlias in your arrangement and you'll fill your buckets which we will bring back to the studio. We'll break for tea, coffee and a light refreshment and then get to work. Susie will do a demo and then you'll have the chance to put together your own formal table arrangement as well as a hand tied bouquet with guidance from Susie.

Experience required:

You do not need any floral experience to attend and enjoy the workshop. The workshop is for anyone who loves flowers and would like to learn how to create their own arrangements. All materials are supplied, just come ready to forage and have fun.

The workshop will take place in CONSTANTIA, WESTERN CAPE and spots are limited.

Cost: R 1,250 per person

What is included:

• A selection of pre-picked foliage from the farm
• A variety of dahlias, other garden blooms and foliage picked by you
• A beautiful vase to place your arrangement in

• You do not need to bring anything, any other materials required will be supplied for you to use on the day.

You will leave with your completed arrangement (in a vase), an informal hand-tied bouquet and the skills to create further arrangements on your own.

• The price above is for one person. Should you have questions, please read our Workshop T's and C's below.
• You'll receive an e-mail the week of your chosen workshop date with everything you need to know for the event (how to find us, where to park, what to bring etc.)

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• Please note that the workshop fee is non-refundable, however, if you're unable to attend after booking your spot, the ticket is transferable.
• We have a full programme planned for the workshop, please ensure that you arrive promptly so we can maximise our time together.
• Attendees understand and agree that they may be photographed during the event and that the images may be used for future promotion.
• Neither Susie Leblond nor Flourish Urban Flower Farm shall be held responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of their obligations arising out of or caused, directly or indirectly, by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including without limitation, acts of God, fires, floods, power interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, computer (hardware or software) or communication service, accidents, labour disputes, or governmental actions.
• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events at any point.
• Physical tickets won't be issued. You'll receive an automatic confirmation email when placing your order and we will email you all the details for the workshop in the week of the event. These emails will serve as confirmation of your place.
• Please note: you might be asked for your address as part of our checkout process, but your confirmation e-mail will serve as your ticket (you won't be charged for shipping).
