Flourish & Bloom: Exploring Watercolours with Candice Christie

As winter blankets the flower beds in its tranquil embrace join us in the studio for a relaxing morning of watercolour painting. Inspired by the beauty of blooms, Candice Christie of Hey Sweet Art will gently guide you in creating your own botanically-inspired watercolour painting.

About Candice Christie

Candice Christie is an artist and designer living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. Originally from KZN, Midlands she now runs a successful watercolour school from her family home in Rondebosch. She is inspired by the beauty of nature and passionate about sharing the joys of creativity with others. 

What to expect:

We'll start with tea, coffee and a short welcome by Candice and Susie. Candice will then chat briefly about watercolour supplies before teaching some simple step-by-step techniques for creating your own floral-inspired painting. You'll then have the chance to create your own masterpiece using the colour reference and paint-ready template provided. Candice will offer gentle guidance as you work. No previous art experience is required.

What you'll learn:

Introduction to Art Supplies: Gain insight into working with watercolour and develop an understanding of the materials, supplies and tools required to bring your work to life.

Step-by-Step Techniques: Learn simple, effective techniques for creating your own floral-inspired watercolour painting. 

Embracing the Process: Learn how to fully enjoy the process of creating and let go of self-doubt and the pursuit of perfection. This workshop is designed for all skill levels - no previous experience required. You will have the freedom to paint at your own pace, supported by Candice's gentle guidance and encouragement.

• Each workshop will explore a different flower (protea, tulips, magnolia). Please ensure you select your preferred workshop before checking out as refunds - or switching between workshops - is not possible.

• Please note that the ticket is non-refundable, however, if you're unable to attend after booking, the ticket is transferable.
