Discovering Dahlias Workshop

Spend the morning on the farm with Susie as she takes you through the basics of growing and caring for your dahlias.

Topics included:

• Selecting your tubers, dividing them and taking cuttings
• Propagating techniques to increase your dahlia stock
• Spacing and growing care
• Lifting and storing your dahlias over winter
• Growing dahlias from seed.

What to expect:

You’ll arrive just before 09:00 and enjoy some tea or coffee and a quick chat with other attendees. Susie will do a brief intro and talk through dahlia basics. That will be followed by a demo showcasing the techniques required to divide your tubers, take cuttings and propagate them. You will then have the chance to practice these techniques with guidance from Susie.

Experience required:

You do not need any floral or gardening experience to attend and enjoy the workshop. The workshop is for anyone who loves dahlias and would like to grow their own. All materials are supplied, just come ready to learn and create your own dahlia magic.

The workshop will take place in CONSTANTIA, WESTERN CAPE and spots are limited.

Cost: R 950 per person

Time: 09:00 - 11:00

What is included:

• Tea and coffee 
• Dahlia tuber clump to divide (and take cuttings)
• Small pot to place your cuttings in (as well as perlite required for potting them)
• Small bag of perlite to take home
• Mystery dahlia tuber to take home

 A selection of dahlia tubers will also be available to purchase.

• Please note that the workshop fee is non-refundable, however, if you're unable to attend after booking your spot, the ticket is transferrable.
• We have a full programme planned for the workshop, please ensure that you arrive promptly so we can maximise our time together.

• Physical tickets won't be issued. You'll receive an automatic confirmation email when placing your order and we will email you all the details for the workshop in the week prior to the event. These emails will serve as confirmation of your place.
