About Isabel Crause
Isabel Crause is a self-taught artist living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. Her art captures the joy of nature through abstract botanicals painted in vibrant colours and expressive brushstrokes. Through her guided, intuitive painting workshops, she hopes to inspire others to nurture their inner artist and creative soul. What to expect:
We'll start with tea, coffee and a short welcome by Isabel and Susie. Isabel will then chat briefly about ink and gouache art supplies before teaching some simple step-by-step techniques for creating your abstract botanical painting. You'll then have the chance to create your own masterpiece with gentle guidance from Isabel. No planning. No overthinking and no previous art experience required.
What you'll learn:
Introduction to Art Supplies: Gain insight into working with ink, watercolour and gouache and develop an understanding of the materials, supplies and tools that will bring your work to life.
Step-by-Step Techniques: Learn simple, effective techniques for creating your own abstract botanical paintings (without the need for prior planning/overthinking).
Confidence in Creativity: Discover how to approach a blank page with confidence, letting go of perfection and embracing the artistic process.
Embracing the Process: Focus on enjoying the process of creating, rather than fixating on the end result. This workshop is designed for all skill levels - no previous experience required.
What is included:
- Tea, coffee and light refreshments.
- 5 x sheets of A4 Primeart cold pressed watercolour paper per person.
- Ink, watercolour and gouache paints to use during the workshop.
- Brushes, palettes and water jars to use during the workshop.
What should you bring?
All materials are supplied. Just arrive ready to create! We are home to many happy creatures for this reason please note that no dogs are allowed.

- Please note that the ticket is non-refundable, however, if you're unable to attend after booking, the ticket is transferable.
